Blushing “Belle” in PUBLISHER’S WEEKLY

Adding a little rouge to my cheeks, Publisher’s Weekly declares:
“Parkhurst, former blogger and media gossip staple turned Web-and-TV culinary personality, brings considerable Southern charm and sass (plus some mouth-watering recipes) to her chick lit debut…the tartly told story is a genuine guilty pleasure.” (6.23.08)
And my author photo at left. Because “Belle” makes me blush, makes me laugh, makes me squeeze my eyes shut and think, “What have I done to deserve this New York City? My God, the experiences that inspired the book!”

Interesting… the few comments you get are usually from girls, commenting on the cooking videos. Yet only guys so far have commented on this post. (”Blushing”? Please – you’re too pretentious to ever blush.) I’m thinking the gratutious cleavage has something to do with it….

Excellent review, and the first of many I’m sure. And lovely pic, full of life…a nice change from your average book-jacket portrait.

FYI, Gawker posted on you today and commenters are having a field day.

Some four hours after the fact, I read the Gawker post (fine enough) as well as the comments (inane). Thanks for the heads up, Noreen.
