Jamie & Belle–Cool Cookin’

Jamie's baa-aaack. And he's the hot chef that's keepin' my summer kitchen cool. Watch as he teaches me the perfect method for searing seasonal fish and whipping up a cool zucchini-ribbon relish--in 15 minutes flat. I'm not so sure about this, but he claims that all I need is a vegetable peeler, a crisp bottle of white and a little restraint...

I like Jamie on camera. He seems very comfortable doing his cooking. He explains things quite well.

Just a note, Brooke, from a tv gal… keep in mind when you’re interviewing someone to really listen to them. I kept seeing your eyes wander, (I’m not sure if someone was in your ear or you were thinking about your next question.)

Is Jamie back personally as well as professionally or will we ever know? ;-)

i HATE wandering eyes–at a cocktail party, the grocery store or in a business meeting. i pride myself on always giving the utmost attention to the friends and colleagues in front of me–eye contact and being engaged are things that i really, really value. but, perhaps this doesnt come across on camera. i’ll try to work on that.

you need to tone done the facial expressions — you’re a pretty girl but the over-exaggerated smiles and wide-open eyes look very cheerleading competition on ESPN.

I’m so very glad to see the two of you working together!! You are both just adorable together!

OMG — yum! Thanks for the tip on the vegetable place — it looks great. Also (from someone on television), don’t be afraid to “dial it back” a little. Television is a cool medium… you want to be friendly and approachable, but make the viewer come to you a bit. (Sort of like dating.) You don’t want the eyes to be too wide, or the smile too wide.

Jamie comes across very well — he handles the salt like a pro!

i think i’ve seen that jamie guy somewhere before. i could be wrong, but i swear that i saw him scaling the wall of a building on 13th st. at 4am a couple of months back.

‘Bout time one (or both) of you swallowed the ole’ pride. Nice segment.

I have wandering eyes, or is it shifty eyes? I forget.

Wait, I am confused by some of the comments. Did you and Jamie break up at some point?

Nicely done. You guys are really cute together. It was great to see someone else using a cast iron pan. Do you have any recommendations for buying a mandolin?
