“[Him] kissing your hand may make you feel very, very good but a diamond and saphire bracelet is forever.”

so did someboody give ya a diamond? is it a eupahmism 4 da big apple?um, um, did u have a good christmas Ms. Belle?o i got da virgin post…how appropriate .
Oh so true. It’s like a metaphor for life. Sure, some of the best things in life are free, but let’s face it. Nothing puts a bigger smile on someone’s face when they see that bling-bling shinin’ and sparklin’!
Diamonds are a joke. I would never buy a diamond for anyone. Rubies and sapphires are fine (and did you know they’re chemically identical?).
Those who can’t say no to advertising and buy a diamond anyway can probably look forward to massive depreciation, too. Diamonds can now be produced synthetically for about $1 a carat. I did not mistype that. One dollar. Per carat.
Right now manufacturing processes only make (tiny) diamonds for drills, but when the process gets scaled up, larger diamonds will be possible. And they won’t have to be cut since they’ll be formed perfectly to begin with.
But don’t let me dissuade you… if wearing a gigantic drill bit on your finger is your idea of romance, then who am I to stop you?
