I enjoyed that story when I first saw it on a episode of "Designing Women". I giggled again when I read it here. Classic jokes never lose their style.

I visited the west coast and found that many people ended their sentences with prepositions, especially late at night after drinking. I was prepositioned all the time.

"From now on, ending a sentence with a preposition is something up with which I will not put."
--Sir Winston Churchill

My former boss was forever scolding me for ending a sentence with a prepostion (and I probably did it more than I normally woud have because it bothered him so much), so I would restate it with a bastard at the end.
