From one woman madly in love to another, I am only beginning to understand the ache the distance brings. I had no idea it would be this palpable. His expressive letter made my heart hurt and echoed all that I feel.

I think if you’ve found LOVE, that’s a special thing. It’s hard to come by that special kind of love. So my thought is that if you feel for him what he feels for you, you are a very lucky girl. I guess I wouldn’t pass it up just for the city. Dreams can come true no matter where you are living.

If you were to leave the city, does that mean NEVER going back? Aren’t you at an occupational crossroads anyway? I’ve lived in different places, and I have loved different people, and I have discovered that when you make a choice, it is the places that will always be there waiting in case you were wrong.

There’s only so much you can achieve long distance. You have a lot happening on the phone, in letters, in cyberspace, but wouldn’t it be great to have it all happen in real 3-dimensional life?

Oh dear. You can always take the girl out of the South, but you can never take the South out of the girl. I think we Southern women are oft inclined to follow our hearts over our heads.

nothing is easy in this life…i think…
the “love” problems specially…but if you have big wishes….the fall down is more painfull….
