Al Freddo

A bracing wind off the Hudson. The rattle of a broken radiator. Lentils and sausage at the corner of Mercer and Prince. Night falls before the office door is closed. No more lovely dinners on the sidewalk.

Not AL FRESCO.

AL FREDDO.

WINTER.

Mi scusi ma hai detto “Al freddo?” Che significa? Volevi a dire “it’s cold”? In quel caso lo sarebbe “fa freddo”. (almeno in italiano)

Winter. One of many reasons NYC is a place for us rebels to visit, rather than inhabit. It was 92 down here today.

    Belle-

You could be a bit further upstate, where it is cooler, but the leaves are brighter, and where there is no benefit from the urban heat island.
