  23. 23 bardd colledig Says:

After reading the BBC’s comments, I was delighted to disover their accuracy. You’re a charming writer with a style to be praised. Long may the belle keep tolling.

  24. 24 Flora Pang Says:

  25. 25 AmeriKaKanKare Says:

    Belle, congratulations!

How does Fox take your newfound celebrity? CNN once asked Kevin Sites to stop blogging!

Ah! that’s the new world order. It’s good.

Keep blogging, keep writing, keep sharing1

Looks like the gushing spilled over into the mainstream. And all I have is my foot in my mouth. Touche Belle. Touche.

That’s (too shay) but I don’t have that little thing that goes over the e on my keyboard.

  27. 27 Li Says:

Waht can I say, us Brits are suckers for new blood haha

  28. 28 John Says:

to the person looking for tips on rythmn in their writing, try interspersing your typing with short bouts of drumming, or brisk handclapping if you don’t have space for the whole kit.

  29. 29 Just_Susie Says:

I’m concerned that your candid stories about a specific news channel may not be a career enhancing move (even if you are no longer employed there).

Have you heard from their lawyers yet?

  30. 30 Quick Says:

I am new to blog culture. A friend not so new to it advised me that posts well under 400 words are the only ones people read. I instinctively thought this was wrong, and Belle, your writing proves that it’s the quality of the writing, not the length of the post that keeps people reading. I’m going to continue doing what I’m doing. Also going to make a little extra time in my horribly busy existence to keep reading Belle In The Big Apple. It’s good stuff.

  31. 31 Aloke Kumar Says:

The Britts are not only digging but are awe-struck. There are other reviews on the way.

  32. 32 M Says:

You need to stop sucking on that bic and get you some real d*ck.

  33. 33 Bend Says:

Belle, I followed the link from blogger. You write Ok, but there’s no real insight or depth to your work. I hate to say it - but mention Fox and everyone’s interested. Your writing on it’s own is unexceptional, and your story’s… what? dating in Manhattan? Oh, never heard that before. Live a little and get outside the box and maybe you’ll have depth. At the moment you’re a cliche fittting into a traditional, sweet literary pattern. It’s nice, but I won’t be coming back.

  34. 34 "Texas-Buddha" Says:

    Haha thats great.
BTW great writing keep it up, And theres one thing the big apple doesn’t have the the south has. And thats great southern women, sure there are a few, its just so hard to find “y’all” up there in that big ole city.

  35. 35 Belle Says:

“Bend,” where is your site? I’d like a little sample of your writing since you critique mine oh so eloquently…

  36. 36 lorie Says:

It couldn’t happen to a better blog! Way to inspire!

  37. 37 iluvnyc Says:

    congratulations!

personally, i love your writing ‘n all those stories… dating stories?? hey!! you live in NYC, girl… it’s part of it… whatever your blog falls into, it’s your blog. you can do and write whatever you like in there.

    miss nyc so much :)

  38. 38 Clarte Says:

Us Brits have good taste ;) . Well done Belle that’s great.

This post has been removed by a blog administrator.

  40. 40 Leigh Says:

Before “Psychic Blonde” throws stones, maybe she should learn to write a complete sentence (and a grammatically correct one for that matter).

As a Southern girl, I was personally offended by her comments about the South, until I looked up some of her blogs. They are hysterical. I am astounded to read that she is not only a “psychic” but also a “playwright.” Frightening.

Constructive criticism is helpful; rude inane commentary is not. Why must you be so nasty? Life is too short to be so bitter and discourteous.

It reflects poorly not on Belle, but on you and your upbringing.

  41. 41 natachaduartt Says:

    hi…congrat belle…
i told you that im a big fan of yours? im from chile…and even when i can’t read or wrote a perfect english…i understand something of your columns…

if you ever wanna come to chile…call me…

  42. 42 Donovan Phillips Says:

If you’re looking for innappropriate men I can point you in the right direction. :)

  43. 43 Lactose Says:

Keep it up girl. Thumbs up from the UK. This is good stuff ;-)

  44. 44 Rachel Says:

Oooh, well done. The BBC are ace, I have great admiration for their high standards and professionalism. I blogged for them for a week, here
    http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/4670099.stm

and that was what got me writing my blog to carry on the tale.

    Watch site traffic go mad!

  45. 45 karenology Says:

I don’t quite understand the angry troll comments…are they trying to be “oh so EDGY” and “different”? If you don’t like the blog, there’s only about 800 thousand billion other ones you can peruse; it’s not like Belle is forcing you at gunpoint to come here and give her traffic!

I for one think the blog’s interesting enough to come back. I would follow the BBC’s advice, though, and take precautions against getting “dooced.” The blog is entertaining, but probably not enough to lose a paycheck over :(

  46. 46 Belle Says:

Sorry, “Psychic Blonde.” You and your psycho ways are just a little too much for this blog.

  47. 47 psychicblonde Says:

real comments seem to be too much for you. Maybe you can just look at your made up comments here. I see what this is. They didn’t write to me but I don’t think I want to be on this with stupid people like you. I was putting on there before I was sorry I wrote it but not really. You are really stupid and it is wasting my time. I can look at others but yours was the one that was there as if it was special and it wasn’t or I maybe wouldn’t have written anything.
You all just can’t really do anything or get anything and you take it out on me. I know I’m a good writer. I just was not taking it as seriously as you. I don’t want to put a diary on this.

  48. 48 Trish Says:

    Congrats!

Just wanted to say, I’m a fan and have been following your writings for some time. Keep up the great stories!

Thanks for sharing and making my work day go by with a little more excitement.
