Nielsen Before Pulitzer

Your writing reminds me so much of my sister. She’s in NY also. I’m not supposed to read her blog, so reading yours is the next best thing. It makes a little elephant trainer in CA feel like she’s in the big city with her sis. Thanks.

Anonymous is confusing a real journalist with a real talking head.

If we had real journalists, we wouldn’t need websites like this:

That is the sad state of television (and tabloid) journalism. I never watch Fox. CNN has also become almost unwatchable. They are trying to do headlines quotes rather than informative stories. The ticker and all the ’stuff’ on the screen … Oh, don’t get me started.

Belle, I’m trying to figure out where your political viewpoint stands today. Are you still a Hannity-loving right winger or have your eyes been opened up to the liberal northeastern lifestyle. You seem to enjoy what New York provides.

Sounds like the credo for Fox News. I gave up on the MSM long ago. Is it any wonder why The Independent, The Guardian and other London papers regularly scoop the hell out of our premier news outlets here? I can’t tell you how long I’ve been disgusted with the way the news is done here. Just damn amazing the way they lie so brazenly and almost Never actually report on real news. You guys are in the fiction biz, really. Made up quotes, missing contexts, missing continents & foreign news. And Fox is just about the worst in these developments. I blame Murdoch, but it’s deeper and wider than that.

I like the blog, but momma ought to know that there’s nothing intellectual about Fox, OR the ‘new’ conservatism. There has’nt been much on the latter score since Reagan, and even those clowns were lightweights. At lest they occasionally had rational thoughts though. It must be tough.

Save yourself kid. Save your sanity and integrity. For the same money you could work for the NY mob. They’ve got a better balance sheet, more shrewd managers, and advancement is more based on merit than at Fox. And yeah, they’re better with reality. If they don’t work well with reality (instead of trying mightily to manufacture their own), they’d go out of business. It must be tough with a degree and all you worked hard for to be nothing but a glorified propaganda arm of the Government. I mean even the Soviets had more fun and better hours when working with TASS & Izvestia.

Good Luck Kid, and plan your escape at the earliest available opportunity. You’ll never regret it! Cheers, ‘VJ’
