1) Madonna is Jewish (remember the Kabbalah?) so why is she having a Christmas party?
2) You seem really impressed with yourself. Well, that makes one of us.
3) You must burn a lot of calories picking up all those names you drop.
Anyway, continue taking New York by storm. Maybe I’ll run into you on the subway. Wait, you probably don’t take the subway.

I tell ya girl, you have more guts then I do. Speaking as a Southerner recently traveled to NYC, my hat goes off to you. If it wasn’t for a few locals, I would never have found the right subway to take me back to Queens to catch the 48 bus back to the hotel next to LaGuardia. Stay safe and don’t forget your roots…and how to be a real lady!

It would be fun to visit New York one day….but I’m content on the prairie for day to day living. It is interesting to read about “Big Apple” happenings, but to quote Dorothy herself, “There’s no place like home!”

What you have written is history. You have provided a slice of life in New York City for someone who might read this posting a thousands years from now. Who knows? Belle, from another expatriated southerner, just want to thank you for putting it so well. I’ve been on a similar odyssey since 1994, from VA by way of SC, NY and now NJ. A friend recently gave me an old Irving Berlin song, that goes “When I’m not near the girl that I love, I love the girl I’m near”.

Wonder what would life be to live in the Big Apple?A nice thought but to stay briefly in NYC would be ok not for the long haul.I prefer to live by the sea, enjoy the sound of waves and splashing of water and the strong breeze that blow in the evening and the rustle of coconut leaves.when the sunset in the evening the silhoutte in the horizon has a mystical effect on the soul.
